so, who knows that i blog? um... a lot of people in my life. my friends, my family, even my work clients with whom i've shared my website. i've made a pretty big deal out of writing a blog.
why? because we're living in an age where a lot of people don't know how to express their thoughts in a thoughtful way. those who keep a personal journal, blog, diary, etc. are the exception, not the rule. so many are using big social media, which doesn't invite thoughtful discussion; it's mostly became a way for others to form parasocial relationships with celebrities, pick fights for no reason, promote get-rich-quick schemes, and just try to get a rise out of others. it doesn't scream "my true feelings" to me. i believe that being honest and mindful with your thoughts and feelings is an admirable trait, one that more people need to have. and you can get that more through writing than through being a... content creator. writing this blog is a way for me to say "hey, i'm doing something different from the stereotypical online norms. i want you to try it, too, if you'd like."
