what if we started over?
it's becoming clear to humans the world over that our current systems are going to eat us alive. i have no doubt that, in the next 10 years, we won't be living under capitalism anymore, because we won't be able to sustain it anymore. the internet will change again, as it always has. maybe we won't even have an internet anymore. and who knows how long the united states has left before it collapses in on itself?
but, hypothetically, what if that all happens? what will humans do then? what if we started over? what if we rethought our social systems? what if we learned that we are stronger when we work together, not when we endlessly compete for each other's resources? what if we decided that the technology we're relying on today is causing us more harm than good? what if we stopped relying on the status quo, and embraced change? what if we were able to enact said positive change without worrying about money?
what if, what if, what if...
what if... we stopped waiting around for politicians to implement these scenarios, and did it ourselves? it will take time, but all good things do. i know we have it in us to save our own world. after all, the rich man isn't going to save it for us.
